1st fatal error ever using makemkv. Initially fatal error occurred using Windows version 1.7.10, so I updated to version 1.8.0 = no help?
It opens disc fine and allows me to select Title (s) I want to copy to PC. Then, it runs for about 1min 6 secs. locks up and then gives fatal error message... I activated log so; here is MakeMKV_log contents (I cannot see anything maybe someone else can?)

Please do a testdump per /onlinehelp/testdump.html . It's lengthy but necessary.
Re: dvd plays ok, but Makemkv "fatal error" ?
Attempted testdump, but -
MakeMKV opened DVD, initiated testdump as outlined on the general tab, selected titles, seemed to run longer, but then popup window stated the same "Fatal error occurred, program will now exit."
Hit "ok" and popup & program exited.
Cannot find " *TESTDUMP* " in selected folder or with a search from start menu... sorry.
Any other suggestions?

Just experienced the same issue with two newly released Netflix DVDs (Easy Money and Killing Them Softly). Have previously copied many DVDs and never got the error.

That sounds bad. Please do a debug dump then, and let;s start from there. /onlinehelp/dump.html
Re: dvd plays ok, but Makemkv "fatal error" ?
I came here looking for a solution to the same issue. Trying to backup Killing Them Softly. This may not be the best solution but I did find a workaround for now until MakeMKV can handle the disc. On a whim I tried DVD Shrink 3.2 and it seems to be able to backup the disc just fine. So I turned off ALL compression and let DVD Shrink do it's thing. Then I ran MakeMKV on the VOB files.
I did try and get a dump file from MakeMKV but I only see the MakeMKV process running in task manager and not the MakeMKVcon process. I work on computers for a living so I consider myself an above average computer user so unless there is something I'm missing I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Yes, I did sort the process by alphabet just to make sure I didn't miss it.

I've created dumps for "Killing Them Softly" and sent to support.

Just had to return Killing Them Softly. Tried to do a Handbrake rip but was unsuccessful. Have they made it possible through MakeMKV yet?
