When is this going to be out of BETA?

I am looking to purchase this software and am wondering an approximate "go live" date. How much more development is necessary to get this out of beta status?

Personal opinion: Doesn't matter. Of course, I bought it well over a year ago.

A lot of software is "beta quality" being sold as "release versions". Some doesn't even qualify as "beta quality". The difference is that you don't know you're a beta tester when you go in, you assume everything works, and are disappointed when it doesn't.

One of the benefits of non-beta software is stability. One of the problems is also that stability. There is a "release" version of Handbrake. It is stable and supported. But, it's also quite crippled, compared to the "nightly builds" (which are more of "alpha test" versions), when dealing with Bluray. You get more things that you can do, buy you have to be ready for some things to come up broken sometimes.

MakeMKV is still evolving. Is it worth paying for, despite that? Tough decision either way for some, easy for others. Some decide "no". Some decide "yes".
