Hmm, MakeMKV works fine when I deselect audio...

Post by marcusj0015 » Tue Mar 05, 2013 8:34 am

So, there must be something wrong with my conversion profile, will one of you look it over and tell me what may be wrong? I only kept the main MakeMKV and audio sections, to make it easier to read.

Can I use direct flac command line options in my conversion profile?

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<profile>
    <!-- profile name -->
    <name lang="eng">PERFECT</name>

    <!-- Common MKV flags -->
    <mkvSettings
        ignoreForcedSubtitlesFlag="true"
        useISO639Type2T="false"
    />

    <!-- Settings overridable in preferences -->
    <profileSettings
        app_DefaultSelectionString="-sel:all,+sel:(favlang|nolang),+sel:lossless,-sel:(havemulti|havelossless),-sel:mvcvideo,=100:all,-10:favlang"
    />

    <!-- Output formats currently supported by MakeMKV -->
    <outputSettings name="copy" outputFormat="directCopy">
        <description lang="eng">Copy track as is</description>
    </outputSettings>
    <outputSettings name="FLAC" outputFormat="FLAC">

Does it work if you select the default profile, instead of FLAC?

I'm using a custom profile, which I pasted above, and yes it works fine when I don't use my profile, so there must be something wrong with my profile.

I remember Mike mentioning a confirmed bug in 1.8.0 that involves using FLAC audio encoding. In one case reported, it would simply stop at 99% done. The work around was to not use FLAC until 1.8.1 comes out.

Oh, that's interesting, thanks for the tip. In the mean time I'll work on my conversion profile. Thanks.
