DVD Naming

Post by mikename »

How can I get DVD's to automatically be named? It is annoying to have to rename all of them immediately, because I can't identify what 'title01.mkv' is later very easily.

As a feature request, many dvd's show their name, but still get named title00 or something like that. It would be nice if they defaulted to something more descriptive.

You will need to access the preferences for MakeMkv, and then turn expert mode on. You will then have access to to naming disc (Optional) and from a drop down menu choosing the file name (Customize name for output) before clicking "Make Mkv".

This allows you to name beforehand and I have done this for TV shows and movies.

Hope this helps

Neat. You would think this would be something there by default. Thanks!

So, doing this do you always leave the profile as Default?

Yes, unless you want to specify a profile that does something special with the output (e.g. converts audio tracks to FLAC).

If you want it to behave normally then just leave the profile set to Default.

Cool, thanks for the info. Been using for a long time and never bothered with it. Even paid already.
