The disc will not be read, but it works fine in a disc player.

Hi!

Try cleaning the disc. If your system still can't read it, exchange it at the place of purchase for a new replacement... (PCs have different read/play requirements than do standalone players)

I'm having the same issue.

Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon
I've tried ripping 2 retail copies. Best Buy SE and Walmart 2 disc
Also tried 2 redbox rental copies. I'm going nuts.

I get the same error as in OP's title. All the Blurays identify as Transformers3_AC

Is there a work around?
I've never heard of a firewall disc. This is the first and only bluray I have ever had problems with.

Oh.... But none the less I'm having the exact same error. Even the free version of DVD fab doesn't help.

Had this same error on Disc 2 of The Fellowship of the Ring extended edition. Unfortunately, all my interweb-scouring led me to the conclusion that the disc was badly manufactured. Just went out and bought a new copy of the movie and the new one works flawlessly.

Not exactly great news, but I guess this sort of thing happens from time to time.

I'm getting the exact same error with the Across the Universe Blu-ray disc.

I've cleaned the disc thoroughly (with a disc cleaner machine), but still no luck.

Backing up the disc encrypted also does not work at all. =\

I'm getting the same error with Master and Commander. -_-

It seems curious that all the titles referred to in this thread are older releases - perhaps damaged or dirty, especially possible if purchased as "Previously Viewed"...

Just because a disc is new does not mean it is well pressed.

This might also be an indication that your drive is dying.

The drive is brand new... I've copied a few other discs just fine with MakeMKV today.
