More often then not MakeMKV locks up my whole computer (mouse and everything) when first reading the disc. It is the only program on my computer that uses the drive that does this. I am reduced to using AnyDVD or ImgBurn to make an ISO then mount it and use MakeMKV. I turned on debug log and all I got was a bunch of weird characters with this on the end

Hi!
Those odd alphabetically sequential words sure look like they could be part of a virus. (The word "quarantine" sticks out like a sore thumb)
Where did you get the copy of MakeMKV that you are using?

From the official website. I will run a virus scan but I am almost positive I don't have any viruses.

Re: MakeMKV first reads dics and randomly locks up computer
I virus scanned with Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 and didn't get any hits. I also reinstalled MakeMKV from the official website. I am still having the same problem but I am getting a proper log this time not that it is going to be any help. It crashes while gathering the disc information without writing anything to the log about it. I managed to get 2 discs done and on the 3rd it locks the whole computer up while trying to access the disc information. It does this no matter if AnyDVD is disabled or not.
Edit: I don't have any problems with using AnyDVD or ImgBurn by its self nor do I have any problems using AnyDVD or ImgBurn to make an ISO then mount it to a virtual disc and then using MakeMKV.
Edit2: I think I got it working. I had a bad SATA cable and my Blu-ray drive was not getting along with my integrated Asmedia Controller.

These errors indicate that video stream is invalid, but MakeMKV was able to process the stream. You may have video glitches.
