I Backed movie up , watched my copy and my friend and I notice it jumps to a scene further in the movie than jumps back than continues to play and you get to the scene that it jumped to
than later in the movies it jumps back to a scene that it already played. jumps back and fourth. ?? Why

Usually a sign that you chose one of the "special" tracks, intended to confound people ripping disks. They will have several (sometimes dozens) of "tracks" that contain the same scenes, but not in the correct order.

Check some of the other tracks that are the same general length.
