playback issue after conversion

I have an issue that has occurred now on at least 3 Blu rays. After MKV converts the Blu ray to a MKV the disc will not play. i get either a blue screen that sits there and then seems to go out of focus or a black screen that nothing happens. if i try to fast forward to get the movie started, it crashes media center. This has happened on Godfather II, Ghost Protocol, Transformers and Savages. i am suing Windows 7 64 bit, Shark 007 codecs so as to play the MKV through the native windows media player, and My Movies. As other movies do play i don't know if this is a MKV issue, My Movie issue or Shark codec issue. i thought i would start here to see if anyone else has had this problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you tried playing them with a different player, such as VLC?

Since VLC has the codecs to deal with most BD encodings built in, that would help eliminate it being a file corruption problem.
