U2 Vertigo 2005 Live From Chicago

Wondering if anyone can help explain this disc. Back cover says 16:9 aspec ratio, and it plays that way in my DVD player. I rip it with MakeMKV and MediaInfo reports that the display aspect ratio is 4:3. I view the MKV in VLC and it displays "scrunched" in 4:3. When I tell VLC to display in 16:9 it displays (looks) correct.

Same deal when I convert to MP4 (M4V) with Handbrake. Anyway to change the tag so that VLC and QuickTime to display 16:9 automatically? Attached is what MediaInfo reports:

Thanks, I read the article. I'm wondering if using Subler will allow me to edit the meta data to get it display correctly. I may have to compare it to files that display properly to see if I can "fix" it.

I'll be damned-- That fixed the problem. I compared the subject video to my "U2 Go Home" go home DVD rip (which plays correctly at 16:9). In SUBLER I changed the 'Scaled Size' to 841x480 (per U2 Go Home), and the 'Aspect Ratio' to 284x243. After saving and previewing in VLC the file plays in the proper 16:9 format.

Hope this may help out someone else that may run across this issue.
