My PC seems unable to load this Blu-Ray. Is there a known problem here?

As a starting point, does the disc play in a standalone player?

Sorry to say I do not have a stand alone Blu-Ray player. Only an LG USB Blu-Ray Reader.

1 Yes. Just finished ripping the French film "Three Colors - White" from Blu-Ray
2 Yes. Always commercial. About two times before. I forget the titles.

I... uhm... got a replacement for this disk from my source and both exhibited the same failure. I did not bother with the other failures

I've had success with about 25 Blu-Rays.

The Blu-Ray was pressed by "Kino Lorber" http://www.kinolorber.com and looks to be in very good shape. No visible scratches or blemishes.

EPossibly either bad mastering (usually a batch of such discs), or your drive is beginning to fail or the drive may benefit from cleaning with a cleaning disc. Maxell makes one that sells for about $10US...
