Is MakeMKV capable of properly processing Blu-rays, such as "Tyler Perry's Good Deeds", that incorporate "ScreenPass" protection?

Sort of. The only effect you'll see in MakeMKV is that you'll see a lot of "fake" titles. MakeMKV can't tell you which one is the right one - you'll have to insert the disc into blu-ray player, notice the playlist number of the "real" title and select corresponding title in MakeMKV. The automatic detection of fake titles is a work in progress.

But if you do a full disc copy, The copy plays for about 10-20 minutes and then a static message appears on screen stating, essentially, that the/a copy won't play properly - and it briefly goes black with audio only playing and then a part of the movie appears with NO chapter or audio controls and in mixed up order - and only parts of the movie play...

Try it and you'll understand better what I've tried to describe.

I see. But as it was discussed numerous times, full disc backup made by MakeMKV is generally not suitable for burning to BD-R . If you really want to have a image suitable fro burning, you'll have to re-author the disc. Open backup, produce MKV file, use MultiAvcHD to make image from the MKV file. No video transcoding is needed, you'll loose the menus but will get a very compatible image.

Actually, it's been my experience that MakeMKV has been capable of making proper full disc backups of many Blu-ray releases, some newer and some older.

I do, however realize that this is, essentially a "side benefit" of Make MKV and not a stated intended function.
