Hi,
I've used the programme with a fair degree of success on Blu-ray disks, but with none on HD-DVDs. I know they're dead technology, but I do have a number of them, and I'd like to make copies of them before they die. I'm running an i5 iMac with MKV 1.4.9 and an LG GGC-H20L, firmware 1.03. This is the message I get on pretty much any disk I put in:
VC-1 video stream without TFCNTR information is not supported, sorry. Few HD-DVDs use it anyway.
Is there something I'm missing or is this just hopeless?
problems with HD-DVDs
Re: problems with HD-DVDs
Sorry for hijacking your thread, but at least you can attempt to decrypt a disc.
MakeMKV refuses to see my Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive on my Macbook Pro.
What drive are you using?

Re: problems with HD-DVDs
HD-DVD development stopped a while and program can process some HD-DVDs. Notably almost all HD-DVDs with VC-1 codec can't be processed.
