Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking

#1 Post by CoderJoe » Thu Sep 13, 2012 7:34 pm

The disc contains 3 episodes. I'm able to rip the first 2 (00003.mpls and 00004.mpls), but not the 3rd (00005.mpls). The error I got:

Code: Select all

001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 0 at J)9nxgJT4CNvp|z <IG:121262647
001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 0 at Odpir%fVohNC>MRw%I7^+:29397955
001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 0 at Odpir%fVohNC>MRw%I7^+:29397955
001002:0020 LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception: Error while reading input
005003:0000 Failed to save title 2 to file /storage/rips/Into_the_Universe_with_Stephen_Hawking_t02.mkv
All 3 episodes are supposed to be roughly the same length, but I got this:

title #0: 00003.mpls - 6 chapter(s), 8.2 GB
title #1: 00004.mpls - 6 chapter(s), 8.5 GB
title #2: 00005.mpls - 11 chapter(s), 15.3 GB

Title #2 doesn't look right. Has anyone else seen this problem? The disc is brand new, and it plays in my Samsung BD-C6900 Blu-ray player.

Attached is the full MakeMKV_log.

The log indicates that MakeMKV failed because it encountered invalid data in one of the subtitle streams. It is unknown if this is really a truly invalid data, mastering bug or bug in MakeMKV. Your only workaround for now is to convert that particular title without subtitles; and optionally decrypt M2TS file in backup mode, extract PGS stream and remux with mkvtoolnix. . If you are willing to provide more details please PM me and I'll provide instructions how to collect more logs.

I confirmed that it works when I deselect all subtitles. I can also do a full backup with decryption. I'll be happy to help track down the problem.

BTW, title #2 is supposed to be longer than the titles, as correctly identified by MakeMKV. I had incorrectly stated that they should all be about the same length. Sorry about that.
