DVD converting errors!

I have been going through my collection of DVDs and hit on 4 DVDs that would fail on attempts to conversion...

1) Harry Potter The Order of the Phoenix

2) Halloween VI The Curse of Michael Myers

3) Gridiron Gang

4) Friday

Is there something else I should try for these?

Without seeings the logs, no one here can even start to guess at the issue. The most likely reason for them to fail however, is a dirty/damaged/poorly manufactured disc.

I ran into the same problem with Halloween 6, four failed attempts. I actually ripped it using dvdfab two days ago so the disk has to be good enough for that. I cleaned it anyways and attempted to rip it yet again.

Analyzing seamless segments gets to about 35% in 25 seconds and then I get a dialog box that says "Fatal error occured, program will now exit.". the dialog box has only an "ok" button. after pressing that the program shuts down. I can see the log window and what is there is below.

I decided to get someone else's dvds and see if the problem recurs... To my surprise, several of them are ripped successfully with MakeMKV which makes me think it is a bad DVD issue (scratches, etc). However there is one DVD which I think has a problem with MakeMKV which is called Shoot Em Up. I tried two different DVDs and two different DVD burners and the problem is that it never "finds" the correct title. The largest size title is 1 GB and is only 26 minutes long... There are no errors, so I am not sure why MakeMKV can't find the title.. anyone know?
