Hello,
Since MakeMKV v1.7.3 (up to and including v1.7.7) for Windows (haven't tested the OSX version), there is a bug that seems to be popping up every now and then with certain discs. In this case, "Burn Notice", season 3, disc 1. "Title #2 declared length is 0:42:08 while its real length is 1:06:20 - assuming fake title" and it discards the title. I know this was a similar bug from 2008 time period, but it appears it may have been reintroduced.
MakeMKV v1.7.2 (and prior to at least 1.6.8) does not get this error.
Regards,
Randy
"assuming fake title" bug ..
Re: "assuming fake title" bug ..
This looks basically the same on 1.7.7 linux x64 build, except the program crashes after a couple of "assuming fake title" messages. I've seen this on iCarly season 4 disc 1.

Please send IFO files per http://www.makemkv.com/faq/item/8/catid/6
Re: "assuming fake title" bug ..
I don't think it gets far enough to generate any *.IFO files as far as I can find. I sent the log file to the email in the FAQ for what its worth.

IFO files aren't created by MakeMKV, they're on the DVD.zeke56 wrote:I don't think it gets far enough to generate any *.IFO files as far as I can find. I sent the log file to the email in the FAQ for what its worth.

I still owe a debug log for this. In the mean time, I came across this bug with 24, s03.d02, title 03 just now. MakeMKV v1.7.2 win(x64 release) was my workaround. Bug introduced in v1.7.3 and continues on to the current v1.7.7 build. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have time to send you what you need.
