Hello,
Trying to make my blu-ray into a mkv file for my HTPC... When i convert the movie and extract the DD 5.1 track everything works fine. However, i want to use the TruHD 7.1 track (which i have done before with other blu-rays or the DTS-HD track when present and they work fine) and when i try to play the mkv it does not give any video or audio and says the movie is 523 hours long...
Any ideas?? i tried repeating the conversion process with the same results.
Thanks, Erik

Sounds like an issue with your HTPC. What software are you using for playback?
Re: Transformers - Dark of the moon
Im using MediaBrowser as the frontend with Lav Filters 0.51.1. The videocard is a GT430 (which supports the TrueHD format) and my amplifier does as well.
My system plays Transformers 1 just fine (which is TrueHD 5.1) but the TrueHD 7.1 in Transformers 3 results in no video or audio and the track length of 523 hours...not sure whats going on. I wouldn't expect the video to not function with a change to the audio track.
???

Ok,
So a long troubleshooting story short...
I tried what Nevcairiel said his setup was (thanks nev) and tried lav splitter and lav audio in windows media center only and relized that wmc cannot see .mkv files in its library. So, i found, downloaded and installed the registry edit from hack7mc.com....and it now it plays in wmc and mediabrowser now...so installed all the x64 Lav filters and setup for bitstreaming and CUDA accelleration (everything i had before) and EVERYTHING WORKS!!

Hi!
I don't believe this forum (MakeMKV) has a member with that screen name. Are you, by any chance confusing the MakeMKV forum with the Doom9 Forum?I tried what Nevcairiel said his setup was

Actually, I had recieved the reply on the AVS forum from Nevcairiel...but since nobody here had an answer, i thought i would post the solution here as well incase somebody else runs into the same problem as it took me a while to find a solution.
