How do I use the created files (s)?
How do I use the created files (s)?
Newbie here... I've just joined my first 2 mkv files and I've got an_FFTemp18EO_.avi file and an _FFTemp18EO_.avs file (combined size about 13MB compared to 7+GB of the two origianl files). Then I have another file with my specified name of about the correct joined size. I don't understand how these all work together. Please explain playback. Also, if I want to move the combined file, which of these file(s) do I move? If I click on the largest of the 3 files I get an error msg to set default file association... how do I do that? I really need some help, please!

Hi!
1) None of what you've posted here appears to have anything to do with MakeMKV (certainly not your ".avi"/".avs" problems)
2) None of what you posted here regarding your source material ("torrents", Usenet, uTorrents) appears to have anything to do with purchased original, commercial discs...

Thanks for your reply, setarip_old... The 2 mkv files I wanted to combine were part of a UseNet download and carried the .mkv extension. Are they somehow different from "purchased commercial discs?" Shouldn't MKVmerge handle this?

You'd have to go ask the developer of MKVmerge. This is the MakeMKV forum.weybrew wrote:Shouldn't MKVmerge handle this?
