I got 1 DVD ripped to MKV, cool... but I do not have the option of the backup(?) in the toolbar, it is grayed out.

Hi!
The "Backup" tool is for making full disc copies of Blu-ray discs only (Either decrypted or encrypted)...

It is, but it's only for Bluray media.
