As i saw in another post, someone said that they were able to access the disc, but couldn't decide which title to choose. My problem is that i can't even access the disc.
I'm using MakeMKV v1.7.5. I've already linked MakeMKV this apparently newer version of AACS protection, that was almost 3 weeks ago, and the problem wasn't fixed when they released MakeMKV v1.7.5.
I've also tried using the latest version of AnyDVD HD 7.0.4.0, but this also cannot read the disc.
Help would be much appreciated, i've been trying to find answers to this question for almost a month but i haven't found any so i just posted the question myself.
Thanks very much.

Re: Chronicle
And your reason for posting empty messages with nothing to add to your report is.... what?
Mike will see your message when he gets time. He doesn't work full time at this, from what I have seen in the past year.
If he's like me when I read forums (especially for tech-support), messages are read OLDEST FIRST. Bumping with no additional content moves you further down the list, not up. It also makes it look like the topic is active (getting replies), and LESS in need of immediate reading.
But, you'll probably see THIS message as being offensive and not helpful.... most bumpers do.
Does your computer have software loaded that automatically updates the firmware of your BD drive?
Do you have a driver that is required to support BD reading, which may be interfering?
Can VLC play the disk?

Re: Chronicle
I appreciate your reply and also the constructive criticism.
I in no way take offense to this message but i do think its completely unnecessary for you to jump to conclusions and assume that i take offense to this message.
I have used MakeMKV for far over a year, and i have literally ripped over 200 Blu ray movies (i have no interest in DVDs). I only joined the forums 3 days ago because this is the first ever movie i have been unable to crack. Joining so recently, i was completely unaware that you use a "read from the bottom" technique, and from now on, assuming i need support in the future, i will conform.
In addition, i do find your reply very helpful, even though you did unnecessarily jump to conclusions.
On the other hand,
My computer does NOT have software loaded that automatically updates the firmware of my BD drive.
I'm not entirely sure on this one, however from what i know, i haven't installed any extra drivers aside from the default Microsoft one.
VLC media player CANNOT play the actual disk, neither can any other media player including but not limited to: Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player and Total Media Theater 5. In addition, VLC has never been able to play ANY blu ray DISK, it obviously can play the ripped MKV file.
You should also be aware that i can still rip any other disk, and that this problem is isolated to only Chronicle, and potentially any other disk that uses the same AACS protection as Chronicle does.

Re: Chronicle
This is how AACS works, all happens inside the drive and has nothing to do with your OS or software. My computer does NOT have software loaded that automatically updates the firmware of my BD drive.

Re: Chronicle
Unfortunately:
1. I replaced the Blu-ray disc (brand new) and there was still no difference.
2. In addition, the latest version of MakeMKV, 1.7.6 (released today), also had no effect.
This issue, sadly, remains unresolved.
