Blu Ray Question

Post by rucknrun » Fri Dec 11, 2009 2:09 pm

I have purchased a Lite On ihos104 drive to rip Blu Ray's. It keeps saying save to disk failed for the main chapter. Tried Dark Knight and Casino Royale so far. My question is I have it hooked up in an external USB enclosure. Would this be causing any issues? It seems to rip any other titles besides the main one fine.

The error is very generic and it looks like data is corrupted occasionally, so it happens only for the long title. I would blame usb cable. To confirm, try the same disc again and see if it fails and in same place or not.

I figured it out. It took me a while. I was having the same problem streaming hulu to my tv. As a file gets larger my virus scanning tends to interfere, I am guessing it has problems scanning the file as it gets larger. Once I put it on snooze everything worked like a charm.
