Hi,
I've just started the 30 day evaluation to transfer BluRay movies to my HDD.
Apologies if this has already been asked and answered, I did a search for my question but couldn't find anything relevant. Also, as you will be able to tell in the next few seconds or from the subject line, I'm fairly ignorant in the ways of understanding video conversion so apologies again for asking something that should be obvious.
I want the mkv movie files to be anywhere from 2.5GB to 8GB depending on the film and duration. Does MakeMKV have an option to do this whilst or after transfering the movies from disc to HDD?
I can't find any setting myself and the mkv file I have just created using MakeMKV is way too large to keep in a library on my HDD.
I'm assuming this process is a different kettle of fish but hope you can help and advise me.
Thanks very much.
Can MakeMKV change the size of the mkv file?

No, MakeMKV is a ripper, and not a transcoder.
You could try Handbrake if you want to transcode the files, but you can rip the content that you want first with MakeMKV, and transcode those files.
