Grey Screen Conversion Error.
After my movies have finished converting, the converted files are just 5 second long and just show a grey screen. Any clue as to why it happens? I tried to rip transformers 3 and indiana jones 1 DVDs. Would really appreciate some help as well in addition to the report.

What are you using to play the files?
Media Box: Ryzen 5700x / Arc A380, Windows 11, BU40N, BW-16D1HT, BP60NB10
Playback Devices: Nvidia Shield Pro, Apple TV 4k

Windows Media Player. I usually check them in there to see if they work and then proceed to convert them to a different format with another program.
On another note, does anyone know how to stop make mkv from embedding subtitles into my movies?

Nothing is embedded. The subtitles are simply turned on.
Stop using WMP for playback. It's awful and as you have noticed, offers almost no control over subtitles and audio tracks. Try smplayer, it's much better.
It'll also fix your grey screen issue.
