Is there something wrong with the Bluray files that was ripped?

Hi!
It's likely a dirty or physically damaged disc.
Try cleaning the disc...

i don't think it's a bad disk... i just had the exact same error "'/BDMV/STREAM/00800.m2ts' at offset '2098550784'" on 2 completely different disks of Captain America.
Anyone else ABLE to rip Captain America with MakeMKV? I bet not.

You bet wrong. Worked fine for me.
The disc is damaged, if it's happened with more than one disc, you have a bunch of bad discs.
Or your drive might be dying.
The error message literally means your drive can't read the disc. You can make whatever you want from that.

You could always try to do a decrypted
full disc backup and create the MKV file from that backup.
In theory it should be unnecessary, but I've occasionally had "invalid or corrupt at offset" errors when doing disc -> MKV, whereas disc -> backup -> MKV produced no errors of any kind (i.e. not even hash check errors).
