The web site is poorly hosted & poorly performing. They claim to be Shanxi who purchased Pioneer's optical drive business. I would expect better of a company that was able to financially afford to buy Pioneers optical drive business.

Thank you for this. That's not the only odd part either, they mention Intel SGX as a requirement for playing UHD Blu-ray discs (and SGX doesn't really exist anymore), and as an example for everyday use, they actually say "many computer games are sold on CDs".

If this website really does belong to Shanxi, these PDFs seem to be placeholders. I may have gotten my hopes up a bit too quickly.

I repeat myself here but as stated before after checking the PDF. They look 100% identical to the old Pioneer models. This simply will not be tolerated by Pioneer at all.

All models have a "C" in their model name, so that may indicate that these drives will be available only on the Chinese market, if they become available outside of internal channels at all.

I agree - they look identical to old Pioneer models. To me, this makes the company/website look even more shady, lazy or just a shitty company.

And at least for me in the US, the website performs HORRIBLY. The PDFs took 10+ minutes each to download on 1Gb internet connection. The files are only 4.7Mb & 8Mb.
