Only audio is produced

Hello

I have a Minority Reports BD that generates MKVs lacking video, though only for certain featurettes. The MakeMKV title overview displays the file normally, yet the output contains only audio and is under 100 MB in size. Does anyone know what to do?

Everything is H264 also the video just isn’t present. It outputs a 9 minute video as a ~39 MB file without any video.

You can't deselect video tracks in MakeMKV (except 3D parts) so every movie should have a video.

Can you check the resulting MKV files with something like MediaInfo?

The file does have a video track thats shows H.264, en, 0, 1920x1080 but the mkv is 41.114 KB in size and can't possibly hold a real video track. Everything stripped except the video track produces a 17.725 KB file.

So I guess I found the problem, maybe someone has a permanent solution.

The playlist file, as well as the actual track 00922.m2ts are identified by MakeMKV and should produce a file around 497.6 MB in size. It does not. MakeMKV recognizes a single video track while the actual m2ts file appears to contain two video tracks. One black screen track in 1080p and a second track in 720x528 containing the actual video

Sounds like a Picture-in-Picture track. MakeMKV drops the second video track upon muxing.

MKVToolNix can open the 00457.mpls as well and you can mux a MKV file with all video tracks inside.

It shouldn't be a picture in picture track. Its only the second video on the disc as well, also the first videotrack really is completly blank. I generated a short script to check for two track files and produce mkvs without the first track.

It also shouldn't be MBAFF, because I don't think I've seen an Interleaved BluRay track within my collection (except for Extras which were taken from a previous DVD release, but they're also 720x576, not 1920x1080)
