Have you tried ripping a disc? The MakeMKV info that you have posted shows that Libredrive is enabled and all other functions as working.

I am new to the forum and was looking to flash my drive for MakeMKV
It is an external Asus drive model BW-16D1X-U
Details from MakeMKV:
Drive Information
OS device name: D:
Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: BW-16D1X-U
Revision: E113
Serial number: XXXXXXXXXXXX
Firmware date: 2020-07-21
Bus encryption flags: 1B
LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8F00
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-212T
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: E113/ID76
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes
SDFtool does not work as my drive platform is not MT1959. Based on research on this forum it appears I may have an Asus chassis with a Pioneer drive.
Any help to flash this drive to rip UHD would be greatly appreciated as I am a total noob.

Sayaka: Thank you so very much for your quick response back! And I'm very happy to report that everything went great with the firmware downgrade on my LG BP60NB10. There were no issues at all with the downgrade and I'm now able to copy a 4K DVD to my PC that I was unable to copy before due to the original firmware that was on the drive.
Take care!

I have a WP50NB40 svc NB52 that I am trying to flash using a Mac. From what I understand I need to follow this path for flashing
however when I click the link it says "The selected attachment does not exist anymore." and in the all you need firmware pack it only has BP60NB10-1.02. Has it been moved somewhere and I am just missing it? ThanksNB52 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with enc > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with bootloader/full flash > BP60NB10 1.00_HBD from Marty download/file.php?id=2143
if using command line add "full" after rawflash

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026
There is no need for the hybrid firmware anymore. If your drive platform is MT1959 (it should be), and your firmware date is post 2020 (it should be), do a rawflash enc to HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WP50NB40-NB50-1.03-NM00800-212005070929.bin (from the MK firmware pack), then a rawflash full of HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WP50NB40-NB50-1.03-NM00800-212005070929.bin (the exact same firmware), then I recommend doing a rawflash main to DE_LG_BU40N_1.00.bin (from Marty's firmware pack inside the SDFtool Flasher topic).
If you wish, I can provide a full flashing guide for your drive, and even a two-step guide if you'd like to avoid flashing your drive any more than strictly necessary.
Either way, would you mind posting your Drive information/LibreDrive information from MakeMKV before you begin flashing, just so we can be 100% sure ? No need for the serial number, you can remove just that part.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026
That would work too of course. I find the boot code way to be more efficient and faster than the 3-step way, but it's true that it can be slightly more complicated, in my opinion.Follow the boot code recovery section for nb52
I tend to avoid recommending it when I do not provide a full flashing guide right away, but maybe that's just me being overly cautious.
Anyway, feel free to ask for further help if you need it, andidHayder !

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026
When following that guide do I still need to include the -f path/to/sdf.bin from the other Mac commands or is that not needed with the boot code recovery method? It wasn’t in the windows commands but just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a platform difference as I was translating the commands.Billycar11 wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2026 10:28 pmFollow the boot code recovery section for nb52andidHayder wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2026 4:33 pm I have a WP50NB40 svc NB52 that I am trying to flash using a Mac.
