Pioneer bdr 209 and Pioneer bdr 209m

hey, i got a bdr-209m on a tri-boot mac pro 5,1.
the drive works well and plays blu-rays (not uhds) efficiently on both
macos with the macgo bluray player and win10 with the makemkv+vlc workaround,
however, i havent managed to make it work on ubuntu.
was wondering of the functionalities gained by flashing the drive with your fw packages
and if it would retain full compatibility with the oses (id appreciate some help with the ubuntu situation)
and finally, your recommendations regarding bluray/uhd player/bdxl burner apps for all oses.

Can you really just flash them to enable that mode?

I was hoping you could help me restore my Pioneer BDR-S09JBK to its original firmware.

The drive originally had BDR-S09 1.50 / RS8600 / ID43 firmware. It was crossflashed first to BDR-211M 1.53 / RS8800 / ID60, and then to BDR-S11JX 1.53 / RS8800 / ID72.

The crossflashes enabled UHD reading, but unfortunately UHD functionality is only partial. Even after carefully cleaning the optical pickup several times, only 4 of the 7 UHD discs I tested are readable. The same discs behave essentially the same with both the 211M and S11JX firmware. I suspect the Blu-ray optical pickup/405 nm laser may be becoming marginal. I realize this may not necessarily be the laser diode itself, but it appears that the Blu-ray optical system has reduced read margin. I plan to use my other pioneer and LG drives for UHD instead as all my 4k blu-rays are perfectly readable on them.

More importantly, I discovered that RealTime PureRead worked much better with the original S09 firmware. I have a badly damaged audio CD that normally skips badly. With the original S09 firmware and RealTime PureRead, it played almost perfectly. With the 211M firmware, RealTime PureRead was unavailable, and with the S11JX firmware the PureRead/RealTime options appear in the Pioneer utility, but the damaged CD still plays very poorly.

Since the UHD functionality on this particular drive is limited anyway, I would rather restore it to its original BDR-S09 1.50 / RS8600 / ID43 firmware and continue using it primarily for its excellent PureRead performance with audio CDs.

I saw that you have previously helped S09/209 owners obtain original firmware for returning to stock. Would you be able to send me the correct files and flashing method to safely restore mine?
