I've been using this drive for some time now with Blu-Rays and have started on the 4K UHD ones. If this drive is capable of reading them, could you please send me the firmware?

Are the B and TBD flashable to BDR-UD04 like the BDR-UD03 when the firmware is older then 12/2022?
MakeMKV information not available, but perhaps there are any empirical values?

I could get one of them for a friend who has an empty enclosure since his BU40N is gone.

Not really. The only thing seems to be the firmware version should be 8510 or 8511. It looks like 8591 (see above) is not flashable. Maybe the author forgot to add this or nobody has it tried before so 8591 is excluded.

Can you help me flash my ud03tbd?

You need to load BOTH files and you need to tick Force Flash. You didn't read the tut! Now READ and try again.
