Just curious what the ballpark will be.

(Btw I am also hopeful of buying a Pioneer drive from Billy, which is why I'm here. I've reached out to Billy already and hoping to get on the wait list).

Wow, that high? Where do i check the market value of this drives? I’ve seen some stores selling units without the makemkv supported firmware flashed way less than 2k. Is there a limitation on how can we flash thsese drives?

That model does not need flashing and is UHD compatible out of the box but Pioneer ceased manufacturing them (and all optical dries) 2 years ago!
