Verbatim 43888 LG BU40N flashing failed

I just recently got a backup 43888 (my primary 43888 is a pioneer drive, but this new backup is an LG bu40n).

I tried flashing the backup to the bu40n mk1.03, firmware. The flash said it succeeded in the sdf tool, but then the drive shows as boot in makemkv and the sdf tool. Once it is in this state, I cannot use it to rip discs (the drive will not even open) and the sdf tool cannot flash it again, but using the LG tool I am able to reflash the original firmware, and the drive works in the sense that it can rip normal blurays, but not 4k.

Is there something I am doing wrong? I successfully flashed my old LG internal drive, but this external verbatim LG bu40n just doesn't seem to want to flash successfully.

Firmware 1.0 may have problems reading and burning certain discs. Versions 1.03 and 1.05 include several fixes that improve stability, especially when burning discs.

Ich konnte bei meinem Laufwerk mit der Original LG Firmware 1.05 selbst damit kein Flashen mehr durchführen, da der SVC Code nicht mehr stimmte, sehe Beitrag 8.

I used the "firmware update for bu40n (version 1.05)" tool in the manuals and software tab of the following link:

Also, don't know if it will help you but after many trials I was able to Flash to the 1.04mk firmware for the bu40n and that has allowed me to rip 4ks.

Also mit dem Firmware tool von LG hatte ich ebenfalls kein Erfolg gehabt, das Laufwerk ging zurück und jetzt hab ich ein neues von Verbatim und dort ist natürlich FW 1.05 drauf.

Jetzt frage ich mir nur welche Firmware ich wirklich am besten nehmen soll, aus welchem Ordner für MakeMKV und DVDFab am besten wäre, ich vermute mal wenn das Laufwerk einen defekt aufweist und man es zurück schickt das dann eine sogenannte Original Firmware drauf ist ein Vorteil ist, also das bei MakeMKV steht - Firmware type: Original (unpatched):

Now I'm just wondering which firmware I should really use, and which folder would be best for MakeMKV and DVDFab. I suspect that if the drive is defective and you send it back, having the original firmware installed is an advantage, meaning that MakeMKV says - Firmware type: Original (unpatched):

if you want the widest compatibility go down to 1.00
but you must first flash to 1.03 then go to 1.00
dont try to go to 1.00 directly it wont work

wieso sollte man den LG BU40'N nicht direkt mit der 1.00 FW flashen?
Ich hatte es getan, es hatte ja funktioniert nur eben das mit dem zurück flashen auf 1.05 bezüglich des umtausch hatte nicht funktioniert, trotzdem war ich froh das es umgetauscht worden ist.

Irgendwie habe ich bei LG Laufwerke immer Kopfschmerzen wenn man diese mehrmals flashen soll.

I did exactly that, and it worked fine—though flashing back to 1.05 for the sake of an exchange didn't work out; still, I was glad the exchange went through.

because it wont work you cant go from 2018+fw to DE fw it is impossible because of the additional downgrade checks.
and without video evidence me and no one else will believe you went direct to 1.00 from encrypted fw

even if it were to work the good says this to keep it simple as 1.04 and 1.05 defiantly need this in my own testing
having 3 flashing methods for 1 drive is very confusing to people the less steps the better for the public every day i get complaints that flashing a bp50nb40 nb 52 is way to hard and saying the guides wrong.

Außerdem hätte es nicht bei der Hilfe beigetragen hier Quatsch zu verbreiten, ich brauchte ja die Hilfe und nicht xyz braucht hilfe dem einer Quatsch schreibt.

Ich habe dieses Verbatim direkt mit der FW1.00 geflasht aufgrund eines Fehler im Laufwerk, hat den DAE Test mit 0 absolviert habe ich das Laufwerk versucht mit der Original FW. 1.05 zweck Umtausch geflasht wo am ende nur das Laufwerk im Boot Modus feststeckte.
Und das ich das so gemacht habe, habe ich direkt im ersten Beitrag erwähnt.

Und hier irgendein Videobeweis zu fordern ist ja jetzt lächerlich, aber was wäre dein Einsatz?
Alle deine Tools zum flashen für die Öffentlichkeit kostenfrei zu Verfügung zu stellen?
Denke irgend jemand wird es bestimmt durchführen und dann stehst du da.

Aber wie MartyMcNuts, Coopervid es geschrieben hatten, das Laufwerk war von Anfang an defekt.

Und meine Frage wurde leider nicht beantwortet, nimmt man besser den SFD oder den Asus flasher?

I flashed this Verbatim drive directly with FW 1.00 due to a drive error; it passed the DAE test with a score of 0. I then tried flashing the drive with the original FW 1.05 for exchange purposes, but it ended up getting stuck in boot mode.
I mentioned doing exactly that in my very first post.

Demanding video proof here is ridiculous—but what would *you* be willing to put on the line?

I'm not saying your lying but there are other factors at play maybe your drive was a return someone flashed it sent it back and they resold it as new I have seen that many times

Sure if you prove me wrong by 1 step flashing a bu40n on 1.05 original fw to 1.0 de and the drive works
ill release the pioneer downgrade firmware
video has to have no cuts
