Thanks for the submission cjw73. Your three discs have been added to the public keydb.cjw73 wrote: Tue Aug 11, 2026 8:49 pm Disc dump filename: MKB20_v82_Damnation_295C.tgz

Please don't add custom fields to the submission template. If the process is ever automated that could be an issue.
Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
- The MKB_RO.inf file from the original disc is required
- Do not submit Stranger Things
- Place the extracted keydb.cfg file in the same directory as your disc dump files

I apolagise I used chatgpt and it took liberties with the template in the future will just fill it out manually. Strange these discs didnt rip when i tried them yesterday despite being connected and up to date. Is there a way to check the database manually? So i can see whats there or whats not? Or is it case of Makemkv will either download from the database or not? Michael is now working when it wouldnt 2 hours ago. strange.

LLMs are not useful for answering questions related to such niche topics as disc ripping. If you expect someone else to read what you send, take the 30s to actually write it yourself.SimHns1 wrote: Wed Aug 12, 2026 1:28 am I apolagise I used chatgpt and it took liberties with the template in the future will just fill it out manually.
Please read the opening post of this thread. This link to the steps required to configure MakeMKV to utilise the public keydb will be particularly useful as I believe you aren't actually using the public keydb: LinkSimHns1 wrote: Wed Aug 12, 2026 1:28 am I apolagise I used chatgpt and it took liberties with the template in the future will just fill it out manually. This disc is in the public keydb. You have encountered a MakeMKV bug related to the processing of unencrypted discs.TheBo wrote: Tue Aug 11, 2026 4:03 pm Disc type: UHD

It would be appreciated if people could stop posting links which are not publicly accessible whilst claiming they have manually verified the link status.Reveille wrote: Wed Aug 12, 2026 6:38 pm Have you verified that all submission links are accessible in incognito/private browsing? Yes

Hey Raegan, thanks for following the submission template but unfortunately LibreDrive wasn't properly activated when creating that disc dump file. If you can power down your drive completely and try that disc again, we should be good to go with a newly created disc dump file.Raegan wrote: Wed Aug 12, 2026 9:43 pm Disc type: UHD

If MakeMKV can actually open your disc after power cycling the drive, please create a protected backup and post a link to the discatt.dat/discattd.dat file to this thread so that your disc can be added to the public keydb.
Just to be clear, there is no need to reflash or modify the firmware on your drive in any way. Your current BU40N 1.03MK firmware is perfectly fine. Your drive encountered a transient error that resulted in the volatile LibreDrive microcode being ineffective and that is why the disc dump is incomplete.

Hi, thanks for the reply! Yeah, this disc is quite problematic, but I managed to open it today, so here is the discatt.dat file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V5Sm5g ... drive_linkkeydb_helper wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2026 10:11 amHey Raegan, thanks for following the submission template but unfortunately LibreDrive wasn't properly activated when creating that disc dump file. I did try use KeyDB Assistant at the time to synchronize the KeyDB file and validate the disc, but it wasn't able to do anything with the Spaceballs UHD. It just told me that it couldn't decrypt the AACS data.keydb_helper wrote: Sat Aug 08, 2026 8:21 pmThanks for the submission ShootTheCore. Your disc has also been added to the keydb. Because the media key was already known to the public keydb, you could've processed the disc dump yourself with SamuriHL's KeyDB Assistant. Please give it a try with any future disc dump files and if the disc remains unsupported you can always submit it to this thread.ShootTheCore wrote: Sat Aug 08, 2026 6:23 am Disc type: UHD

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Thanks to everyone who followed the template and provided new disc dump files. The following UHD discs have been added to the public keydb (new media keys are indicated with an asterisk):
Code: Select all
*MKB20_v82_DISCLOSURE_DAY_7128
*MKB20_v82_FORBIDDEN_PLANET_(UHD)_7B10
*MKB20_v82_Name_of_the_Rose_UHD (0x41CF12D42352A4712EBADE464F7BA6492EC091EA)
*MKB20_v82_PRACTICAL_MAGIC_1EAA
*MKB20_v82_UNITED_93_A444
Sorry about that ShootTheCore. I think I may have misunderstood how the KeyDB Assistant tool processes partial disc dump files. Glad to hear you are all good now.ShootTheCore wrote: Fri Aug 14, 2026 3:42 am I did try use KeyDB Assistant at the time to synchronize the KeyDB file and validate the disc, but it wasn't able to do anything with the Spaceballs UHD.
