I do not and will not sell desktop LG or ASUS drives 25% of them like the Asus BW-16D1HT or LG WH16NS60 are defective and will get read errors on UHD discs

Have you considered that Pioneer drives are expensive because they're "the best drive possible"? They're also not being made anymore, which is another reason, so supply is limited. Simple economics...

You can find a list of drives used for MakeMKV in the Ultimate UHD Flashing Guide that Billycar11 wrote many years ago and updates periodically...

So your plan is to what... find a new LG drive for say $200 and then when it dies in 2-3 months, and it will, buy another one? Instead of buying twice, I would highly suggest just purchasing (1) Pioneer drive, either new from me (you knew that was coming) or used from the guy you're being a dick to, Larry. He sells loose drives (including Pioneer) that have been flashed and tested for cheap. I purchased a drive from him a few months ago and he shipped fast, the drive was exactly as described and he was very professional.

I'm looking to buy at least 4 more. These things die quick and some of mine don't reliably do UHD BD. My ASUS one stopped being able to do it recently leaving me with 2 working UHD drives . All my slim LG ones died too. I'm really wanting to get some replacements that'll last longer.

Larry is larhaus.

LG drives are disposible drives. They are not made to last. Pioneers are. Plastic internal parts on an LG vs metal internals on a Pioneer. But if you want to keep chasing that LG dream, go ahead, or just buy a pioneer and have it outlive any of your lgs, 20x over. Pricing is high for obvious reasons, but its cheaper and pays for itself in the first year. lol. good luck.

He hasn't had inventory or mentioned on-hand inventory in several months. Generally, I see him post here almost daily.

In one of his "recent" posts (last week?), he mentions a "wait list" and to send him an e-mail. You'll have to do some reading.
