Sorry to ask: But what is the difference between
- BP50NB40-NB40-1.00-Clean.bin.zip
BP50NB40-NB40-1.00-Clean.bin is for silly people that have flashed their older, incompatible BP50NB40 SVC NB40 drive and are trying to unbrick it.
LG BU40N 1.00 is the original firmware for the official UHD drive, LG BU40N.

Hello everyone.
I have an external lg drive WP50NB40 svc Code NB
40. I made a big mistake flashing it with the MK firmware pack for UHD. I flashed it with the MK Firmware WP50NB40-NB50. Now the drive is a brick I cannot find the original firmware to get make my drive work again. Can anyone share a link to the original firmware or is there another way to get this drive to work again?
Thanks for any help
Can you try this and let us know if it works. Please download the attached firmware file.
1. Using SDFtool Flasher, select your drive
2. Select RECOVERY mode
3. In the popup window select the current firmware that is on the drive (whatever you flashed it to) -
4. In the firmware drop down box select the attached firmware (which is the original BP50NB40 (NB40) 1.00 firmware)
5. Press START.
Let us know what happens.
I have the similar problem. How I can flash my Slim Drive ? Do I need the old firmware ? How to get it ?
I created the Dump File -? dump_user_HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BP55EB40_1.03_212005070924_SIKZZICNI2648
I had this (1.03) firmware form the manufacturer website.

I hate to revive an old topic. But due to my misunderstanding I also ended up in the same boat as OP. Is it possible to get the attached 1.00 Firmware again? I'd like to attempt to recover my WP50NB40 NB40. Thanks!

Personally, I am getting a "The selected attachment does not exist anymore." error when clicking on the download link for that firmware.

Perhaps, the Admins removed it. There were far too many attachments cluttering up the forum and making it almost unusable.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for making this flasher and tools available. Best Job done!
I'm in exactly the same situation, but the firmware link to revert from this thread doesn't work. Please could someone post the file again?
I've tried the 2 flash combos a few different ways. I did dump the firmware before I started, but the files are nothing like the .bin file used to flash the drives. After the first flash I saw the green light, MakeMKV saw the drive. It went from unpatched with support to capability recovered with patch (sorry I'm going from memory and I'm not getting any younger), but it never would make a sound or open. If I paperclipped it, the drive would spring open and MakeMKV would show that it was open. Close it and it showed it closed. I've even tried different combinations of the USB cables, but no luck.
Thanks again for the effort and I'm happy for everyone this has worked for. I'd really appreciate any assistance.
