Hi,

what a fascinating topic! For some inexplicable reason (laziness, I suppose), I completely missed all of this. Well, to make a long story short, I have the following three drives in my home:

The first and second one (only the serial number is different):

Drive Information
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-S09
Revision: 1.51
Serial number: 000000000000
Firmware date: 2018-05-08
Bus encryption flags: 1B
Highest AACS version: 81

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8601
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-209
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.51/ID43
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes

The third one:

Drive Information
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-XU03
Revision: 1.03
Serial number: 000000000000
Firmware date: 2015-06-29
Bus encryption flags: 13
Highest AACS version: 81

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8520
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-US03
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.03
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes

I have no idea if that matters, but we only have two Macs (one with an Intel chip and one with an Apple/ARM chip) and no Windows systems. Would that work?

PM sent for your 209. The other one isn't flashable for UHD:

Thank you very much! It all looks pretty simple. I'm going to use a VM on my iMac (Intel) for this.

Just one more question: the two BD-RW BDR-S09 drives are in an external enclosure from OWC (Mercury Pro). As I understand it, the process works without any problems with this enclosure, right?

THX!
