I have a Pioneer BDR 212BK I am hopeful that Libredrive can be enabled. I really just want to be able to process Bluray disks, no real need to process UHD but I'll partner with Billy on that is needed.

I'm running Makemkv V1.18.4 and I see that LibreDrive shows possible, not yet enabled. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I have a Pioneer BDR-X12 with firmware 1.03 (ID56 / RS9000 platform) on a Mac. I am facing immediate disc ejection with 4K UHD discs.
I have a Windows laptop ready to flash the drive.

Could you please provide the correct customized clean firmware pack for my drive?

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi, I have a Pioneer BDR-XS07TUHD with firmware 1.03. seems work normally, but with few specific blurays seems have problems. I have a BDR-XS07TS fw 1.01 and seems work well. Do you know if there are problems with that firmware on XS07TUHD?

Sorry, how do think the drive should be connected? USB C directly to the host computer and USB to a powered USB hub? But the hub should not be connected to the host? I wonder because basically data was sent both though USB A and USB C: I tried connecting them alternatively and with both connections the drive was detected by the host. Would that cause issues if both plugs deliver data?
For what it's worth: This is the drive and a picture of the connecting cable: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005008728799098.html
Either direct to PC or to a powered USB hub

The hub must connect to host...

Only 1 cable is being used for data not both
Uff, just realized that at the back of the device there is an additonal USB C port labeled DC, 5V. I didn´t notice that one at all yet... Used a 3A powered USB C hub to power the drive via that port and connected with the fixed USB cable to the host... Unfortunately, the errors persist... I still get all kind of USB related errors :-(

Is there a firmware 1.02 for that drive? I've seen in other posts there seems to be one, but I couldn´t find anything for that model on the pioneer webpage?
Turned out all the read errors and USB bus resets/drive going to sleep/freezing/... turned out to be sourced in the drive itself I bought from Ali. Maybe the drive is already 10+ years, when the scavenge them from returned notebooks or whatever I don't know. I returned the drive and bought an ASUS SBW-06D5H-U instead that I flashed with the BU40N 1.03MK firmware to make it a Libredrive. All discs were perfectly ripped/read and none of the errors of the old drive popped up. The drive was approx 2x the price of the Ali Pioneer drive but: buy cheap, buy twice...
