I can't for the life of me seem to get either of my two copies of The Hurt Locker to be recognised, let alone rip.
I have an Asus BW-16D1HT and it's been pretty much flawless for 300+ other films/shows but there are a few that elude it - two of those are definitely just problems with the disk.
However, with The Hurt Locker, MakeMKV is convinced there isn't even a disk in the drive when it tries to read.
Both copies are UK region, one is the "Winner 6 Oscars" print and the other is just a regular box. I have a feeling they're both the exact same disk under the hood however.
I've ripped other Lionsgate films before, having navigated the sea of output options they provide due to the encryption. But this has never worked.
Has anyone else come across similar issues before?

Re: The Hurt Locker
Gently cleaning a disc often helps, even if the disc is brand new and seems perfectly clean.
In my experience, some drives just don't like some discs. For this reason, I have multiple different drives. Most discs work most of the time in my 'main' drive but on the occasion that one doesn't work, I'll try the disc in a different drive. Often, but not always, the disc will work in a different drive. Rarely I end up with a disc that won't work in any of my drives even with multiple rounds of cleaning. In these cases I have to replace the disc which generally works.
