Purchase Page Down

Post by cuddlebunny » Sun May 24, 2026 4:39 pm

I am trying to purchase a permanent key before 6/1/2026 but am having the following issue from my laptop and cell phone. Any suggestions?

I'm receiving the same error, but I only got this because of the following error. I'm pretty sure I bought the registration key but how do I find it, so I can make MakeMKV work? I have V1.18.3win installed and do not see an updated version.

Thinking it might be some USA based horse crap,I tried from a Netherlands based VPN with the same result, so it seems to be an issue on the payment processing website itself.

Yep, been trying to purchase a key for the last couple days but getting the same error, and the forum website seems to be bogged down also.
Moving very slowly.

I already own a license key for MakeMKV, but since I will likely be interested in purchasing an extra key for a friend of mine in a month or two, I've just checked the purchase page. I am getting the same error.

I should point out that searching for "MakeMKV" on https://store.payproglobal.com does not yield any results either.

I e-mailed payproglobal support with the url and a screenshot of the error and asked for assistance in placing the order.

wIll let you know what they say.

I checked and Mike has not posted to the forum since November of 2025. There are other threads about payments for keys being refunded, keys never sent, Mike being MIA.

If anyone has an extra permanent key they would sell me, please PM me.

Absent that I will build a VM that boots up with the system date set to the first validity date of the beta key every boot and treat this as abandonware until Mike makes it possible to buy a key again.

Glad I am not the only one running into this issue.
Come back to us Mike!

Same. Came to purchase exactly as problems come up... Hope this isn't permanent! I'd love to support this project and see it continued.

MakeMKV only checks the date against key expiration when the program is loaded.

A common dodge for the expired beta key is to set your system date to a date when the key WAS valid, start MakeMKV, then reset your date to current. Until you stop MakeMKV (it can sit quietly in your system tray between rips), it won't check the date again. It also won't advance it's internal time as far as the Bluray checks, for those close to that expiring.
Better workaround?

When Mike comes back I'll pay gladly.

I got some e-mailed reassurance from the person I bought my 4k drive from that this kind of issue happens frequently, Mike will come back, and it will get taken care of.

I'll use the workarounds if I have to but plan to buy a permanent key as soon as the system is back up.
