Can I crossflash a Pioneer BDR-X13 (BDR-213T) to a UHD model?

2、If not, is this purely due to a firmware lock? Is there any chance of crossflashing it in the future?

Yes I got it but it I usually do a phone call for the support at the same time the different country makes it a bit different we will talk about alternatives in the email
