The motor that moves the laser head across the disc overheated to the point it warped the tray, although everything else seems to be working OK.
I'm not sure if it's worth buying a broken WH16NS40 to see if I can cobble together a working drive, or if I should just bite the bullet and try to find another good drive...
Has anyone else seen one fail like this?
