activation key problem

I downloaded the new 1.7.3 beta version for MAC, but it says my trial period is over, to purchase activation key. But I understand that the Beta is free, so how do I get it, how do I register with Makemkv again for another 30 days?

I see the current beta key, the long code, but HOW do I use it, where does it go in the makemkv program? Thanks Nick
