How good or bad is the BW-16D1H-U with pioneer inside

Lurking around the forum and trying to learn new things, my drive is a Asus BW-16D1H-U Pro, and a PIONEER BDR-209 inside it seems (Patched last night with the help of billy). I'm reading everywhere that the pioneer machines ranks the highest, but what about rebranded pioneer, is my drive 'OK', or should i opt for something better in the not so far future? I see my max reading speed of a UHD is about 4.1X (17.2mb/s)

the question is what kind of machinary is on the inside, and will it do the job for the years to come
(price about 1500,- NOK, which is roughly $156.53 not that bad
