New unit for 4k

#1 Post by cigueta » Sun Mar 01, 2026 6:25 pm

Hello, my internal UHD disc copying drive is broken. I need to buy a new one, but I don't know which drive is best. I need you to tell me exactly which drive to buy so we can correctly decrypt the keys.

Knowing what country you're in would be helpful. What can be bought varies.

I'm from Spain and I've acquired this new drive. I'm sending you screenshots of the model that appears in MakeMKV and the firmware version I have (version 3.00). Just tell me if this drive is one of the best and if it works perfectly, if it needs to be downgraded or left as is, and if so, which version. Also, will it export the file correctly to send information for new UHDs, and is that okay?

I've included screenshots below for download.

My new unit is the ASUS BW-16D1HT, as shown in the screenshot below. Could someone tell me if it's necessary to downgrade or if it would be better to optimize the firmware?

You cannot attach images here. Copy & paste the Drive info and Libredrive info sections text from MakeMKV.
Cheers :D
