Leonard Bernstein: Reaching for the Note (American Masters)

Dear All -

I have been getting errors that when trying to back up the DVD of Leonard Bernstein: Reaching For The Note this disk that it won't create the ISO saying that it failed. When I tried to create MKVs of the disk, it also said that it failed to save title 21 to file .... encountered 17 errors of type 'Read Error'

Looks like the errors I'm seeing from several of my disks over the last few weeks... There is a spot that cannot currently be read, and MakeMKV is complaining about it.

Best advise is to clean the disk carefully (soft cloth and a cleaner that doesn't attack plastic), and try again. Do not wipe it in a circular motion, but across the disk (radially).

Unfortunately, it does not seem to have made any difference under my (first) attempt... is there a recommended cleaner to use?

My personal choice for DVDs has been a non-aerosol equivalent of Lemon Pledge, but most generics work as well. Others you dish soap in a solution. The main thing is that it cuts through fingerprints, and fills in scratches.

For scratches, it sometimes does not have a permanent cleaning ability. Rip it and put the disk back in storage.
