Hi everyone, purchased a Pioneer BDR-TD04A from aliexpress recently I am new to ripping blu-ray discs and only want to rip normal (not 4K). I managed to a couple of discs successfully using MakeMKV, but I am stuck at 2x speed when the drive is advertised at 6x capability. Aparently this type of Pioneer drive used to be internal to Sony Vaio laptops, and is now housed in an external USB3 casing. I have tried to find some Pioneer utility software, I believe the drive is stuck in eco mode and thus at the 2x.. I have also had an error something scsi around 2/3rds through ripping The Dark Knight official disc (non 4K), taking around 1:18 for the whole rip too so rather annoying.
Has anyone found the software / firmware for this drive?? I'm assuming I may need to just buy another drive.
Thanks
