After my payment got refunded earlier I tried placing an order for one of the cheaper drives still showing as "10+ in stock" and didn't receive a payment link email at all, so something must have gone wrong with the website behind the scenes, yeah.

@Rrobynne probably, I hope Asmcom keeps the site offline and sort everything and then bring it back. But as I said probably to much chaos today, it worked for me but I got a refund so I know nothing except that my order is no more.

On my end it's been saying "offline for 15 minutes" for the last 2 hours

It's very possible that in light of all that clusterfuck the website has temporarily been plugged off to ensure no further clusterfuckery and giving time to handle the current issues.

So I wouldn't interpret that as there being any kind of issue with the XS07TS supply, or with the website itself

Have sent a query to Asmcom about this, but does anyone know if they still offer licence keys for MakeMKV (as per thread title) as I couldn't find any option to add this to an order.

I'm pretty sure it is a "coupon" or discount on MakeMKV - not a direct purchase from Asmcom. Purchase are directly from MakeMKV.

Hello, here is my feedback after ordering this morning.

My order number is 2026-02-0001. I followed the instructions by sending an email after making my payment at 9:07 AM via PayPal.
I received confirmation at 9:22 AM and the tracking number at 12:30 PM.
Communication has been excellent, and I also received all the instructions for using my new BDRXD08EMB-S1-01P UHD player.
I'm now eagerly awaiting its arrival.

So site it back up, seems all the Pioneer devices are gone. I wonder if any of the Asus drivers are Pioneer 212T as I have seen some users who bought relative new units got that inside.

Forget about the stupid 3.11 ASUS firmware. It will have no benefit.

Weird, I ordered an EMB-S, (order 0009), and mine was not refunded. Were some of them good to go? I certainly hope choosing that drive didn't cost me the chance to get a drive at all...

I did receive a message from Asmcom that adding £25 to the order would suffice, though anyone considering this may wish to check for themselves first.

Unfortunately, the requirement to have a Paypal account has put paid to my chances here. While I was able to create one, Paypal immediately limited it (so no payments) unless I provided identity documents using a smartphone - which I don't have for privacy/security reasons (even if I had, they apparently take three days to verify before lifting limits).

It's a great shame that no other payment options are offered, because Paypal have come across as the most customer-hostile pain-in-the-proverbial entity I've ever dealt with (with multiple emails, text messages and a card transaction before you get that "limited account" message). Heck, you can't even close an account if they have limited it.

On the bright side, someone else will have a shot at a couple of Pioneer drives.
