Can't rip specific track from DVD nor ISO

I am trying to rip a DVD from a Ed Edd N Eddy box set and it has largely worked, except for one episode on one disc. I've tried to rip that episode both from the DVD directly and from an ISO image made with `ddrescue` which recovered the whole disc successfully. Other episodes on that same disc ripped fine.

Two years late, but I'm getting the exact same issue for the exact same track. Weirdly enough when my set came, that disc was the only one flipped around in the packaging, with the data side facing out... Like it was a return where someone else figured out the same problem. Unless I got the exact set you returned, I think its a mastering error; though there's virtually no info about it online.

What happens if you rip the failing title without any subtitles selected?
