I'm trying to flash an LG BU40N using SDFtool Flasher v1.3.6 on Windows 10 using firmware file HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.03-NM00000-211810241934.bin but when I click "start" I get the error "Command produced error code 0xff056103"
Is there something I'm doing wrong here? I have makemkv latest version installed on windows 10.

I also recommend flashing directly to DE_LG_BU40N_1.00 for your drive as your firmware is not encrypted.
Cheers

Oh $h!t, thank you! I flashed it to HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.03-NM00000-211810241934.bin, if I want to flash to DE_LG_BU40N_1.00 can I do that without going back to the original firmware? DE_LG_BU40N_1.00 wasn't in "The all you need firmware pack". Do you know where I get that from a reputable source?MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:16 amTake the disc out of the drive.dialogueravenous wrote: ↑Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:13 amI'm trying to flash an LG BU40N using SDFtool Flasher v1.3.6 on Windows 10 using firmware file HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.03-NM00000-211810241934.bin but when I click "start" I get the error "Command produced error code 0xff056103"

I haven't looked but would be suprised if his firmware pack doesn't include it.dialogueravenous wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 5:27 amAh, I see, I was using the all you need firmware pack BillyCar11 posted in this guide which seems to be a different pack: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sun Jan 25, 2026 7:50 amIt is in my all you need firmware pack in the same location/post that you downloaded SDFtool flasher from.dialogueravenous wrote: ↑Sun Jan 25, 2026 7:19 am
