Verbatim 43888

Post by Bipsen » Sun Jan 25, 2026 4:43 pm

Hi

As my hardware over years have changed to laptops, I need to buy an USB drive in order to backup my bluray movies (no 4K/UHD).
Will libredrive/makemkv run with the Verbatim 43888 drive - so that I can backup my disc's to my NAS (also to avoid buying bluray players for the kids rooms) ?
I know some media might have encryption, which "back in the days" I used AnyDVD to fix.. Just wondering whether this can be a challenge with libredrive/makemkv...

Regards
B

Yes. I'm not sure if it is libredrive enabled out of the box but can easily be flashed to enable it. MakeMKV can decrypt your discs and output a MKV file or a complete disc backup to folder.
Cheers :D
