Get the "possible, not yet enabled" message despite the drive being listed SDF.bin v8D in the first post:

I’ve been looking into a little. And these are the two drives I found available that I could order. Between these two, is there a better option?Billycar11 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 25, 2026 7:07 amnot if you want to do UHDlitlucky wrote: ↑Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:55 amJust a little out of my price range. Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Hello, I have purchased BDR-212XJ and looking to enable UHD on it, from all the reading I did it looks like the drive needs to be cross flashed to BDR-212UBK Firmware. Although I'm having trouble finding the procedure or the firmware as I'm assuming that firmware should not be coming from the manufacture website. Would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction of these two things.

It was in a PNG attachment which doesn't seem to have been approved (that post was my first on this forum). I'll post it here in text so that it doesn't get blocked for my being a new-ish member:

The first 4 can be flashed if the firmware on them is older than Dec.2022.Darklord1of2 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 11, 2026 3:45 pmSorry, New to this if this is stupid question.

Take the risk. These drives will get more expensive the longer you wait.Darklord1of2 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 11, 2026 8:47 pmOk, Thank you.
