I had success with 1.00 so either one works. I am not sure of the differences to be completely honest but i say choose whichever one worksjohndoe75010 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 14, 2025 10:52 pmI have the exact same drive, which firmware file did you use?

I just got gifted the same drive and a complete newbie at flashing. When you remove the drive from the shell (shell is the metal case enclosing the drive I assume) is it super obvious where to plug the sata adapter into? Glad you got your drive flashed!frustratednoob wrote: ↑Fri Sep 12, 2025 12:18 amUpdate. Got it flashed with adapter and SATA adapter. Drive was removed from shell and flashed using sdf flasher.

Used these 2 and all it working and ripping! 🥹

Yeah it's obvious. There is a PCB at the back of the drive with a SATA connector on one side and a USB-C on the other. Just unplug the PCB and plug your SATA cable in.
I've got the same drive and just flashed the 1.03 firmware like this with SDF Flasher.
Do note that you can't then reinstall the Archgon PCB + housing after flashing -- that didn't work for me, still threw lots of errors in MakeMKV. Sticking with the SATA cable for now, with the hope that (some day) someone manages to work out a way round the Archgon PCB limitations and then I can put the whole thing back together.

Why would people carry on with that Archgon anyway...? Let them sink!

That is why I no longer source them nor recommend them at all.
Cheers
